Ladies and gentlemen, I received the heartbreaking news this morning from my family back home, my uncle Pal Jock Deng Guang died last night in Khartoum with age 60 years old on February 08, 2016 at 9:00 PM in Hospital. Pal Jock Deng Guang born on January 01, 1956 in Nyading Village of Ulang County Upper Nile South Sudan. The reason for his death, some of the most difficult and complicated response over the years follow the death, it is the result of long illness.
He was former elementary school teacher at Nasir under former President of Sudan Jaafer Mohamed Nimeiri seized power in the May revolution of 1969. Pal began teaching at young age and with characteristic determination. He was involved in politics and serviced in civil administration in different counties in eSastern Upper Nile. Late Pal serviced as a deputy county commissioner of Ulang under Keak Manydet, and he serviced as a deputy commissioner of Maiwut County under Gatluak Riek Jack’s administration, and so more. When beloved teacher dies, all fellow teachers serviced with him and all students – many of whom he had taught may grieve for him.
The family and community members came together for funeral service this morning night in Khartoum and laid his body to rest and celebrate his inspirational life he educated the children of South Sudanese and Nuer in particular. The life history will be published after we put it at together.
